Ring Sizing
Ring Size Guide
If you are unable to be sized by me, or a local jeweller, you can try one of the plastic sizers or get in touch and I can send out a full set of sizers (I ask that they are posted back - a stamp is provided for free return postage).
The plastic sizers give an estimate of your size, but please bear in mind that they aren’t completely accurate! The most accurate way to be sized is in person, by me, or another jeweller local to you. The plastic sizer and is a useful tool for reference to get an approximate size, but not exact.
To use the plastic ring sizer, form a loop by tucking the end in (like a belt). Slip onto your finger and adjust as necessary until it is comfortable, and you are able to remove it over your knuckle. Then read off the size indicated where the arrow points to.
General Sizing Advice
Our hands / fingers size fluctuate depending on the time of day, temperature and body chemistry. So it’s a good idea to size your fingers a few times over a day to find the most comfortable fit.
If you are opting for a broader style of ring, you may need to go slightly up in size.
The same goes for a top heavy ring - you want a slightly more snug fit so that it doesn’t spin around on your finger so you may want a slightly smaller size.
Your ring should fit comfortably - loose enough that you can twist it off over your knuckle (with a little resistance) and not just slide off, and not so snug that it feels tight or uncomfortable.
If you have large knuckles/joints compared to the rest of your finger, your ring may feel a little loose when it’s on as it needs to be big enough to slide over your knuckle.
If you are buying a ring as a surprise gift, you can take an existing ring of theirs worn on the correct finger to a local jeweller to be sized.
